Had an epic weekend! Took Thursday afternoon and Friday off work, so our team could take part in the Bodyflight World Challenge. If you're not a skydiver, this is a fantastic event held in an indoor skydiving simulator (a massive vertical wind tunnel) each April, and attract some of the best teams in the world. It's a brilliant atmosphere where you can spend the day alongside some real top-of-their-game talent and watch their performances live, then all hang out in the same bar afterwards for the parties. Even better, it's also the perfect opportunity to receive coaching and tips from the best of the best - there's not many sports where weekend/novice/casual sports team get this opportunity.

Our team was called Amnesia and we entered the single A formation skydiving (FS) category.
We were really pleased with how our scores, as we had got much better scores than any of us had achieved in the past. It was also the first time two of our team had competed in this competition and we had only formed this team in January and had relatively little training time together. Our average score across the 10 rounds was 11.2 and we placed joint 13th out of 16 teams. Although not on the podium, we all had a great time, and our best score was 18 on round 6 - I think this was a PB for all of us. My favourite part of the weekend is that teams of all levels, from rookie to AAA and freefly, compete against other nations and therefore represent our country. It's pretty awesome seeing your country's flag next to your team name!
Huge congrats to all the UK teams who took part and earned some medals!
Looking forward to next year already!
